I enjoyed this book. I know this book was written as a fiction but I felt drawn into the Tri-Cities and the Junvenile Detention Center. She wrote of details and colors that are the Tri-Cities. The mystery was intriquing, the romance was good and I look forward to reading the next book and seeing what happens.Product details

This mystery is loosely taken from an actual double murder, a mom and her teenage daughter murdered in their home in the middle of the day. Ms. O'Rorke has woven an excellent mystery from and around the murders. Am in the process of reading the series and her stand alone novels. I think Torena has a bright writing future ahead of her.

"Gemini Girl" grabbed me from the first page. O'Rorke's characters pop off the page and you're instantly drawn into their lives. Christian Vargus is the perfect modern-day heroine, flawed from personal tragedy and consumed with finding the truth. Christian and Daniel are the super-sleuths of the juvenile justice world, determined to solve the crime and taking risky chances along the way. This is fast-paced, compelling mystery-thriller, with sexy romance sprinkled on top. A must-read!
An entertaining, compelling, modern crime novel that once started was hard to put down. The main character, the gutsy, gorgeous Christian Vargas blurs the lines between parole officer and detective as she goes after a murder suspect that is using the mega church in town as a recruiting grounds for his young female prey. The absorbing plot line blends the evils of organized religion with the broken lives inside the juvenile courts system and the roles of probation officers trying to make things right.
I'm looking forward to the next book in the series! I rate this young Author big time!
O'Rorke can creatively spin a captivating yarn, no matter the genre, and this first novel in her astrology mystery series is no exception. With her usual aplomb, she catapults the reader into the lives of her main characters from the get go. Her attention to detail and command of her subject matter bring her characters and their stories vividly to life Then you're on board her express train of a story until its exciting and gratifying conclusion. The Gemini Girl Murders has set the bar for the thrillers to follow in the series, so O'Rorke's followers, as well as new converts to her works, can count on great entertainment for some time to come!
I like the way the author is able to share information with us about her experiences as a juvenile probation officer with troubled youth. Although novelized, we get a sense of the survival skills many of our youth must develop. The author allows the heroine to rely on her instincts, as well as on a broad-based set of skills. "Astrology mysteries" with a PO as the detective is an intriguing addition to the mystery/thriller genre.
